St. George Utah – Replacement Airport

Description

Built on more than 1,200 acres, and featuring two 50 ft. wide parallel taxiways, the St. George Municipal Airport boasts a state-of-the-art aviation facility. The airport handles numerous airlines with multiple scheduled flights per day. The site will accommodate regional jet aircraft, 737s and Airbus 319s.

The new 35,000 sf, two story building was located approximately 10 miles from the nearest utility at the time of construction. The project posed several challenges for Westland to overcome. Some of the unique challenges to this project were; a remote jobsite location, full jobsite operations needed to be run off of generators, satellite communications, pumps, and water trucks. The management and completion of the project took 95 phases and 455 days to deliver.
