Westmore Elementary School Rebuild

Description

This project was a nearly complete demolition & rebuild of an existing elementary school. Construction consisted of Atlas Masonry, structural steel, exterior and interior walls using 8” Atlas brick. Completely new classrooms, faculty lounge, administrative offices, restrooms, nurse’s station, and faculty work rooms. An existing gymnasium was retained and connected to the new structures on three sides. Rebuilt on a very tight project site with an actively occupied facility, all construction activity took place in close quarters adjacent to the existing structure. Final phase of the project was demolition and removal of the existing structure.
