The goal of the renovation and addition to Central Valley Medical Center (CVMC) was to help the rural hospital transform into an updated, state-of-the-art facility that could provide exceptional healthcare services not often found in rural hospitals. Some of the upgrades to the medical facility include a new Emergency Department, including an IV therapy room; addition of a second-floor Women’s Center, including Labor & Delivery, Postpartum Rooms, C-Section operation room, and additional support spaces; clinic space for physical therapy and orthopedics; expanded entry and drive-up; expanded lab; permanent MRI Suite; and remodel and expansion to hospital pharmacy and same-day surgery. The project has not only helped CVMC rise to the needs of their community while planning for the future but boldly demonstrates healthcare design and construction excellence.
