Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine
ABOUT THIS PROJECT
The Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine is a 140,000 square foot, four-story building that houses premier medical education spaces. These include full simulation of healthcare modalities such as inpatient units, a surgical operating suite, clinical examination rooms, and an anatomy laboratory. With these simulation spaces coupled with learning pods, classrooms, and hands on laboratories, this building is the catalyst for bringing virtual reality and augmented reality to the higher education learning environment. The school has a full production studio to develop educational content for the lesson modules used in the curriculum to aid students progress through their respective academic programs. The facility is designed with natural light and views of the Wasatch Mountains as a priority bringing a sense of connection from outside in. The layout enhances the opportunity for student-faculty collaboration while offering spaces for community events, quiet study areas, and an on-site café amenity.
