Description
The project encompassed a 32,000 sq. ft. concrete tilt up building, located in Springville, Utah. During excavation and building pad preparation we encountered an underground river and rot debris that crossed through a corner of the building and was not noted in the soils report. This resulted in an approximate $45,000.00 change order to the excavation subcontractor.
During the balance of construction, through value engineering performed by our company, and working closely with the architect, Westland researched specified finish items along with the actual needs and appearances desired by the owner, reviewed structural requirements and roofing materials, and value engineered a total overall savings to the owner of $65,603.00.
