Maple Ridge Elementary School

Description

Maple Ridge Elementary School is a new design adopted by school districts featuring a unique, high-security entry, distinguishing it from other schools in the area.

It consists of thirty-two (32) classrooms; four (4) kindergarten rooms; three (3) resource rooms; two (2) computer rooms; one (1) UEI Room; one (1) music room; one (1) KIVA. It also features an expansive administration area with workroom, faculty lounge, and storage. Additional multi-use areas include a media center; kitchen; cafeteria; and multi-purpose rooms. The building is constructed of a structural steel support frame, steel joist system, and metal deck roofing. The exterior skin is a masonry veneer block with metal stud framing. The roof is a membrane roof with kalwall skylights allowing natural light for the classrooms and central areas of the school.

The site consists of asphalt parking space and a completely self-contained storm drain system. It also includes two playground areas and playing fields that accommodate future design and placement for soccer and baseball sports. These areas are all completely fenced for safety and security.
