Description
Located on 9 acres of the 25 acre Midvale Middle School campus, the Midvale Elementary School was built to accommodate students from kindergarten to the fifth grade. There are classroom wings on the east and west sides of the central atrium. Classroom wings are two level structures constructed of steel columns, beams and trusses with seismic braces. The gymnasium and the dining hall are a one-level structure constructed of load bearing masonry walls. The construction type per IBC 2009 is II-B with non-rated structural frame, floor and roof construction.
