The addition of a new, modern gymnasium and locker rooms to the Orem Junior High School campus is a beginning phase in the eventual rebuilding of the school. The building adds form & functionality to the campus, providing a sports venue with boys/girls locker rooms, while adding additional instructional classrooms, exercise room, weight training facilities, and large storage areas for sports programs.
The project site remained active, with school in session, during construction. The site was constricted, with functioning school facilities adjacent. Safety concerns are paramount, and Westland took measures to ensure that the site exceeded School District and OSHA requirements to keep the public safe.
