ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Single level of 100,000 sq. feet. Walls were 36′ tall allowing for 30 feet of open vertical area for future additional that could be used to extend the conveyor system to include two additional floors for product storage. These floors would be built into palleting rack system. Six inch thick steel reinforced floor was provided for added weight throughout. Entire warehouse is fire sprinkled with provisions for under future mezzanine. 10″ masonry walls with steel roof including provisions for future 26,800 sq. ft. mezzanine level. Steel framed roof consisting of columns, girders and joists. Open warehouse with restrooms and lounge for employee use. Finishes are sealed block throughout warehouse. Restrooms consist of tile and painted drywall. Lounge has painted drywall and polished concrete floor. Exterior canopy for employee break area with radiant heat for winter time use. Challenges for the project were mainly coordination of utility trenches to allow continued use and access to employee parking areas/loading docks. New water and sewer lines cut through access points.
