About Us

The Westland Way.

Who we are

Local Expertise. Large-Scale Capabilities.

We pride ourselves in providing the attention to detail, pricing, and customer service of a small business, while delivering large company capabilities and results. Our preconstruction methods are designed to anticipate potential issues and areas of improvement, resolving problems before they arise and minimizing the impact to the final project cost. Our construction methods are based in sound safety practices, transparent communication, and hands-on team-based management techniques.

Together these strategies have brought us one successful project, and one satisfied client, after another. Our goal at the end of each job is for our title to change from “Construction Manager” to “Trusted Partner”.

Our Mission

We strive to raise the level of Service, while building People, Projects and Relationships The Westland Way.

Growth & Expansion

Rooted in Utah, Building Across the World

Westland’s roots date to the early 1950s, when the Houghton family established a small trade business in plaster that grew into a respected subcontractor. In 1992, Westland Construction was established as a commercial general contractor expanding into construction management.

Westland completed its first international project in Samoa in 2003, strengthening its expertise in remote construction. Continued work in Southern Utah led to the creation of the Southwest Division in St. George.

Today, Westland delivers projects throughout the U.S. and worldwide. Our portfolio includes schools, religious institutions, offices, recreation centers, retail, resorts, financial institutions, industrial facilities, multifamily developments, and more. Our success is built on strong partnerships and a commitment to exceeding industry standards.
