Westland Construction built the new 41,680-square-foot Ephraim Utah Temple for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with Method Studio as architect. Construction started in August 2022 and reached substantial completion on November 21, 2025. The temple sits on a 9.16-acre site enclosed by precast concrete and aluminum fencing, and it is built on a reinforced concrete foundation with a structural steel frame. Its spire rises 156.67 feet, making it a new landmark in the Sanpete Valley. Inside, wheat and Scandinavian flower motifs run through the custom carpet and area rugs, the art glass, the door hardware and the decorative painted ceilings. The same motifs carry into the quarter-cut sapele millwork and doors and the Botticino Classico and BS Beige stone, which is accented with stone quarried in Italy, Turkey, Bolivia and Brazil. Crystal chandeliers light the barrel-vaulted sealing rooms, celestial room and chapel, giving the community a lasting place of worship built to the Church’s high-end temple standards.
