Westland Construction built the new 33,710-square-foot Snow Removal Equipment (SRE) Building at Provo Airport for Provo City, with MHTN Architects as architect. Westland was selected through a negotiated contract. Site work began in December 2024, and the team reached substantial completion on August 24, 2026. The facility brings the airport’s snow removal operations under one roof. It has equipment storage, maintenance bays, specialized shop areas, a parts and tool bay, salt melt storage, administrative offices, a kitchen and dedicated crew quarters. The layout emphasizes functionality, durability and efficiency, supporting year-round operational readiness. The design also accommodates a planned 15,000-square-foot expansion, so the building can grow with the airport while minimizing future cost and disruption.
