Spanish Fork 'FitCity' Recreation Center

The Spanish Fork Recreation Center, also known as ‘FitCity’ serves as a community hub that unites aquatics, athletics, wellness, and gathering spaces under one roof. Designed to serve residents of all ages year-round, the facility includes three indoor pools, a lazy river and splash pad playground, a dedicated competition pool, and a dive pool.

Athletic areas feature two basketball courts, a multi-purpose gymnasium, and three convertible courts for pickleball or basketball, all supporting tournaments and community events. Additional spaces include dance and fitness studios, strength and conditioning areas, child-care rooms with a jungle gym, party rooms, and administrative offices.

Outdoors, the center expands the experience with three seasonal pools, water slides, an outdoor lazy river, shaded social areas, and an event pavilion. Guided by the “one-campus, many-experiences” model, Spanish Fork and VCBO created an inclusive environment with studio spaces, senior and community rooms with a full kitchen, and engaging play areas. One unique design feature is the extensive use of curtain wall systems and interior glazing that preserves open views to the mountains while enhancing safety, supervision, and the overall sense of connection throughout the facility.
