Westland Construction built the new 35,818-square-foot San Pedro Sula Honduras Temple for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with Mallol & Mallol Arquitectos as architect. Ground was broken in September 2020, and the temple was dedicated on October 13, 2024. Set on a 9-acre site in northwest Honduras, the temple is clad in Moleanos limestone from Portugal and rises to a single attached tower about 98 feet tall. Inside are four instruction rooms, three sealing rooms and a baptistry. As the second temple in Honduras and the eighth in Central America, it gives members in the region a lasting place of worship built to the Church’s exacting temple standards.
