Westland Construction built the new Wellington New Zealand Temple for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with PA Architects as architect. The project includes the two-story, 14,900-square-foot temple and an ancillary building with arrival facilities and patron housing, totaling about 26,500 square feet. Site work, landscaping and parking cover a wooded 3.35-acre hillside in Porirua, just north of Wellington. The temple is built on a structural steel frame and features two attached end spires, an instruction room, a sealing room and a baptistry. Ground was broken in August 2025, and the temple stands as New Zealand’s third temple and the Church’s southernmost. It gives members across the lower North Island a lasting place of worship built to the Church’s exacting temple standards.
